Bhavana Mehta is a Mumbai based creative artist. She likes to explore her creativity with various materials and mediums viz. Acrylic, Ink, Pencil etc.

She decided to follow her passion after spending 15 years in the technology industry. She made a tough decision of leaving her safe and secure tech world and plunged full-time into the creative world she loved.

She is a unique personality who was good in academics, scored >90% in her 10th grade, and secured admission in science stream of most prestigious Ruparel college.

Like most intellectual students, she got into software space, eventually built her own software company and one day — got an epiphany that her calling is Arts and not technology. She decided to be better late than never.

She was always good with Arts, decided to do a professional course at JJ School of Arts in 2014. She followed it up by learning new skills in various mediums like pencil, water and acrylic colors and even portraits from her respected teachers.

Bhavana started with her first painting series during Covid time by the name — “Shapes of Supreme” and discovered that she loves playing with Geometric shapes, illusion and commenced another series by the name “Monochrome Emotions of Life” capturing various shapes. They depict spirituality giving alternate meaning to life. Few shapes are counted as sacred and spiritually aligned with various mythologies and history.

Since her childhood, she loved painting, and has played with colors. With time, she realized — Art is her passion and meditation. Art is what makes her forget everything and makes her a happy soul, and hence the tagline of her creative journey—”Art is Soul”.
